Some people who find Halloween unnecessary are those who do not celebrate it for religious or cultural reasons. Others may feel that it promotes excessive consumerism or encourages children to engage in unhealthy behaviors like consuming too much candy. Additionally, some individuals may simply not enjoy the spooky or macabre themes associated with the holiday. **

The plastic smell in Halloween masks is caused by the off-gassing of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from the materials used to make the masks. These VOCs are released into the air as the plastic materials break down over time, creating the distinct odor. Additionally, the manufacturing process and the use of certain chemicals in the production of the masks can also contribute to the plastic smell. It is important to note that prolonged exposure to VOCs can potentially have negative health effects, so it is advisable to air out new masks before wearing them. **
